Generate Product Development

January 2021 – April 2021

Generate is a student led design studio at Northeastern that aims to promote entrepreneurial engineering on campus. Their goal is to assist real startups with product development needs. As a build studio member, I was placed on a team of 5 to 7 other engineers and a project lead. We then collaborated closely together to help bring a client’s vision to life.

PowerHouse
  • one of only two Electrical Engineers on a team of eight

  • amidst a fluctuating project scope, designed the power management of a grid tied solar system to enable AC motors to retract & extend panels

  • built a small off grid solar prototype, despite limited lab accessibility during COVID, to demonstrate proof of concept of battery integration into the system

  • got to explore the functionality and fascinating science behind solar energy!
